Land Studio Limited is a multidisciplinary design company with masterplanning, urban design, landscape architecture and environmental planning at its core. Established in 2016, the professionals who work in the studio have a vast depth of experience in the design and planning of the built environment, having worked on all scales of projects throughout the United Kingdom and around the world.
At the core of the business is our commitment to the continual improvement of our staff and business. The systems and procedures that Land Studio works to, in order to maintain high standards, are well established within the office and all staff are fully conversant with these.
Land Studio takes its obligations in providing a high level of service to its clients seriously. Key to this delivery is our staff. Land Studio employs the highest standard of staff and ensures regular training (Continuing Professional Development) is undertaken to keep staff up to date with relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice and guidance. We encourages staff to complete professional chartership with relevant bodies and a large proportion of the staff are Chartered Members of the Landscape Institute, which provides a further level of quality assurance to clients, as well as an inherent responsibility to society and the environment. We provide support to those undertaking professional exams, allowing time and resources, and allocating mentors from within the office.
Land Studio has a rigorous system of checking documents and drawings prior to issue. Reviews are completed within the office with final issue documents and drawings being checked by a Director or Associate. Issues of information are recorded as ‘output’ versions recorded on our computer system, which is backed up daily, in accordance with our Business Continuity procedure.
Land Studio often works as either the lead consultant or part of multi disciplinary teams and staff recognise that the key to successful multi-disciplinary working is effective communication of information between team members. Land Studio helps achieve this through the continuity of project personnel, sharing information in an open and transparent manner, operating with mutual trust to help encourage innovation and ensuring that information produced follows appropriate drawing and issuing standards to ensure clarity.
Fostering teamwork and good communication within our studio is considered important in providing our clients with the highest quality work. We employ a creative review process, with staff members not directly involved in a project being encouraged to comment on proposals in an open ‘critique’ format. This process encourages good communication, promotes a culture of sharing experiences and helps to produce the highest quality design service.
