“I became a civil engineer as I wanted to make a difference in society and believe that by bringing the landscape and water management techniques together to mimic the natural environment I can go some way to achieving this. Civil engineers often work on the unseen parts of a projects and therefore are often forgotten about early in the development of a scheme.
I am passionate about engagement with the design team, end user and key stakeholders in those early stages to help drive a holistic approach to the design. For instance, by removing the need for traditional underground drainage techniques and using the topography and landscape features where possible we should be able to provide a surface water management scheme which is more economical, maintainable, and sustainable with the added amenity and biodiversity benefits.”

Lisa joined Land Studio in April 2022, with over 20 years experience in the field of Civil Engineering. Lisa achieved her BEng (Honors) at the University of Bradford.
Lisa has experience working for both contractors and large multi-disciplinary engineering consultants, she is focused on the delivery of sustainable drainage designs and water management solutions which are cost effective, sustainable and nature led to offer an integrated approach between landscape and civil engineering designs.
Lisa has a variety of experience working with public body clients, private developer clients and contractor clients, she also has practical site experience. She is passionate about designing innovative and maintainable civil engineering solutions which are coordinated with other disciplines and has worked on a variety of projects from refurbishment to new build in the education, commercial, leisure and residential sectors.
Gaining chartership with the Engineering Council and membership of the Institution of Civil Engineers in 2004 Lisa is keen to mentor others to progress a career in engineering and is an active member of the One Million Mentors charity.
