Matthew joins the team

We are pleased to welcome another new member to our growing team, Matthew Reece.

Matthew graduated from the University of Sheffield this summer with a Masters degree in Architecture and Landscape Architecture.

He said: “I’m delighted to join the team at Land Studio. The studio is thriving and the team are working on a lot of interesting and varied projects both locally and across the country.

“Studying both architecture and landscape architecture gave me a sense of how important it is to consider the relationship between landscape and built form, and it taught me a real understanding of how both have such a huge effect on how we experience our surroundings.

“I have been working in an architecture practice for the past three years now, but I really wanted to build my knowledge of landscape architecture to develop a cohesive approach where neither disciplines are conceived or developed in isolation.

“My studies and experience in practice have focused on the themes of education and social housing. They've been typologies that give a great opportunity to explore this relationship between architecture and landscape architecture and hopefully provide a great opportunity to celebrate the value of landscape architecture in the built environment.”
