Welcome back Kate

This month we welcome senior landscape architect Kate back to the office after her maternity leave.

Kate, who has dual qualifications in both landscape architecture and architecture, gave birth to her second daughter, Rose, in October.

She said: “There’s nothing like having a baby to make time fly. Despite being pregnant and subsequently on maternity leave for the entirety of lockdown, and the usual mêlée of baby-related social activities unable to take place, these past eight months have gone by in a flash.

“Simon and I are very fortunate to live in a beautiful rural spot, so I’ve spent a lot of time walking in our local hills, or meeting nearby friends in country parks when the weather has been kind. Now that restrictions are easing, we can venture a bit further afield.

“I’ve been looking forward to returning to work, and am keen to get involved in more of the strategic planning for the business, as well as getting back to design and visual assessment work.

“It will be great to spend the majority of my working week in Chester, where I can get to know some of the newer members of the team who joined Land Studio while I was away. There is even talk of starting an open water swimming ‘group’ (something which is a big passion of mine), so who knows, we might be entering the Dee Mile swim in August!”
