In The News: Land Studio highlights SuDS law change

Land Studio has been in the news this week after welcoming the announcement of a SuDS requirement for future development.

DEFRA made the announcement that SuDS was to be mandatory by 2024 for new developments in a review document of recommendations for the implementation of Schedule 3 to The Flood and Water Management Act 2010.

A SuDS approving body, which the government has called SAB, is expected to evaluate the quality of future SuDS.

Place North West, Pro Landscaper Magazine and the Chester Standard all carried interviews with Lisa Sawyer, our director of civil engineering.

As a landscape architecture and engineering design studio that champions creating nature-based solutions, the SuDS requirement makes great sense to us. We are already including SuDS in more and more of our projects across the UK and getting some fantastic feedback for our work.
