Our work with the National Trust

We are delighted to be working on a new project with the National Trust’s Lyme Park, a magnificent house and estate on the edge of the Peak District.

The house, which famously stood in for Mr Darcy’s home in the 1995 BBC adaptation of Pride and Prejudice, is surrounded by lovely gardens, moorland and a deer park. It boasts six centuries of history.

We have been working with the National Trust at Lyme since 2016 on a range of projects all looking at improvements to access and the overall visitor experience.

One of our main projects is a wide-ranging master planning exercise that looks at enhancing and changing the overall visitor experience across the whole of the Lyme estate.

Other projects include work to repair damage after the estate was deluged with flood water a couple of years ago and new planting to reconnect gardens and footpaths.

Like all our work with the National Trust, we are extremely sensitive to the historic setting of each property.
