Landscape design at Wrexham University

We’re part of the team working to deliver Wrexham Glyndŵr University’s new Enterprise Engineering and Optics Centre (EEOC) on their Plas Coch campus in Northup, Flintshire.

The new £8.35m specialist centre will support manufacturing businesses in the region to decarbonise by exploring the integrated use of optics, photonics and composites as alternative, lighter-weight solutions.

We have provided the landscape design for the site and helped in the coordination of biodiversity assessments, working with Wynne Construction, the main contractors.

The plan is for construction to start in February next year with an estimated opening in Autumn 2025. A key aim of the project is to attract investment to North Wales and to create local employment opportunities.

The project forms part of the University’s £80m Campus 2025 strategy, ensuring that students have access to the best facilities and learning environments.
