Working with the National Trust

We’re excited to be working on a new project for the National Trust, this time at Sizergh Castle near Kendal in Cumbria.

The castle is a Grade I listed building and has been home to the Strickland family for over 800 years.

We’re going to be looking at how we can improve accessibility across the castle gardens to make the whole site more inclusive and user friendly in all the seasons.

There are several historic features that could be better connected to enhance the visitor experience, including an orchard with its 65 varieties of apple trees, the mirror pond and the splendid yew topiary walk.

At Land Studio we specialise in designing within historic places and are proud to have worked with the National Trust for a number of years, on projects across the UK.
