Land Studio Director Lisa Sawyer heads up our new Civil Engineering division.

Our new service delivers fully integrated, cost effective, nature led, Sustainable Urban drainage and water management solutions that enhance the landscape and add value to your land.

We believe it’s time for landscape architects and civil engineers to work closely together and to be involved with building projects right from the start.

Here’s some more about Lisa:

Tell us a bit about you

I grew up in Chester. My first job was a site engineer on the Jubilee Line in London, I was the only woman on the team. I am married with a young child and love to travel the world.

Your career to date

With over 20 years of experience, I have worked on a wide variety of structural and civil engineering projects both in contracting and consultancy. These have ranged from refurbishment to new build in the education, commercial, leisure and residential sectors.

What do you like about Land Studio

Bringing together landscape design and civil engineering under one roof is so innovative I just had to get involved. It means we can offer clients a more holistic approach to nature led design.

What drives you

I am passionate about making a difference with sustainable, economic designs at the forefront of my mind. I’m also part of a unique community-based mentoring system called One Million Mentors, which mentors young people.
